A rack cabinet full of servers generates up to 7.5KW of heat which must be removed from the cabinet. If you have conditioned air and do not have a harsh environment, the task can be accomplished by utilization sufficient fans to push the hot air out of the rack and draw cool air in. However, if you have an environment with conductive or corrosive dust, or do not have conditioned air, more aggressive methods of cooling are required.
